Nanmadol is moving slowly northwest whilst intensifying. There is high uncertainty in the forecast, due to a future interaction with tropical disturbance 97W (see below), but on the whole, the system is expected to move northeast whilst strengthening to typhoon strength, peaking at about 85 knots.
